These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website. By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please discontinue use of the website.

Informational Purposes Only

The information and resources provided on this website are intended for general informational and educational purposes only.

Website content is not intended to replace individualized mental health care, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or other professional services.

Information presented on this website should not be used to diagnose or treat a mental health or medical condition or to make decisions regarding your individual care without consulting an appropriate qualified professional.

No Therapist-Client Relationship

Visiting this website, reading its content, submitting a contact form, sending an email, requesting a consultation, or otherwise communicating through the website does not establish a therapist-client relationship with Elizabeth Kennard, LCSW.

A therapist-client relationship is established only after appropriate intake procedures have been completed, the practice has agreed to provide services, and applicable informed-consent and practice documents have been completed.

A request for a consultation or appointment does not guarantee acceptance as a client.

Consultation Requests

A complimentary 15-minute consultation may be available to prospective clients to discuss therapy needs and determine whether working together may be a good fit.

A consultation is not a therapy session and does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

Information discussed during an initial consultation should not be considered a substitute for mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.

Therapy Services

The nature, frequency, fees, scheduling, cancellation policies, confidentiality requirements, and other terms governing therapy services will be addressed separately through the practice's informed-consent documents and other client agreements.

If information on this website differs from an agreement provided to an established client, the applicable client agreement or informed-consent document will govern the therapeutic relationship.

Geographic & Licensure Limitations

Mental health services are subject to professional licensing laws and regulations.

Elizabeth Kennard may provide therapy only when legally permitted to do so based on her professional licensure and the client's physical location at the time services are provided.

Information on this website regarding states served or licensure may change as additional licenses are obtained, renewed, modified, or discontinued.

Prospective clients may contact the practice to confirm current availability and eligibility for services.

Fees & Insurance Information

Information about session fees, insurance participation, private-pay services, reimbursement, or other financial matters is provided for general informational purposes and may change.

Clients are responsible for understanding their own insurance benefits, including any out-of-network benefits or reimbursement requirements that may apply.

If superbills or other documentation are provided for possible reimbursement, reimbursement by an insurance company is not guaranteed.

Current fees and financial policies will be communicated before or as part of establishing therapy services.

No Guarantee of Results

Therapy is an individualized and collaborative process. Experiences, progress, and outcomes vary from person to person and relationship to relationship.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as a promise or guarantee of a particular therapeutic result, outcome, or timeframe.

Testimonials, examples, educational information, or descriptions of therapeutic approaches, if provided, should not be interpreted as guarantees that another individual or couple will experience the same results.

Emergency & Crisis Situations

This website, its contact forms, email, consultation requests, and Elizabeth Kennard's psychotherapy practice are not emergency or crisis-response services.

Website communications may not be reviewed immediately and should never be used to request emergency assistance.

If you are experiencing an immediate medical or mental health emergency or believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Visitors may have the opportunity to communicate with the practice through contact forms, email, consultation requests, or other website features.

Please do not submit highly sensitive, confidential, or detailed clinical information through general website contact forms or standard email.

Electronic communication carries inherent privacy and security risks, and no method of internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Submitting information through the website does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
